How to Finance Your Rehab at Holina

Holina Rehab is a licensed residential addiction treatment centre in Koh Phangan, Thailand that operates on a private-pay basis. This page explains how to finance treatment: all-inclusive fees run from USD 9,700 to USD 18,700 per four-week programme, with no insurance billing or third-party delays. We also provide documentation to help you claim reimbursement from your own insurer.

Our Payment Model

How Does Financing Work at Holina Rehab?

Holina Rehab is private pay. You pay the clinic directly for your programme rather than billing an insurer, so there are no third-party approvals or delays — treatment begins the moment you arrive. Fees are a single all-inclusive figure per four-week programme (from USD 9,700), covering accommodation, meals, therapy, medical oversight and aftercare.

Holina Rehab is a private pay facility. This means you pay directly for your treatment — without involving insurance companies, waiting for pre-authorisations, or navigating third-party billing processes.

Private pay allows us to admit clients immediately, design fully personalised treatment plans without insurer restrictions, and maintain complete clinical independence. Your programme is built around your needs — not a policy schedule.

All pricing is transparent and confirmed in advance. There are no hidden fees. Your quoted programme fee covers accommodation, all meals, individual and group therapy, medical assessment and monitoring, medication during detox, yoga and wellness activities, and your aftercare plan.

What is included in the fee

Accommodation, all meals, individual therapy, group therapy, medical oversight, detox medication where required, yoga, gym, wellness activities, HBOT access, and a full aftercare plan. One fee, no surprises.

The cost context — and why transparent pricing matters

According to SAMHSA’s 2023 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, only about 14.6% of people with a past-year substance use disorder received treatment — cost and unclear payment terms are widely cited as part of that gap, which is why Holina publishes its full pricing upfront.

In the United States, a 30-day inpatient programme commonly runs USD 5,000–20,000, according to American Addiction Centers.

In the UK, Priory Group’s Transform 28 programme is priced at £21,813 for 28 days.

Per the National Institute on Drug Abuse, staying in treatment for an adequate period — generally at least 90 days — is one of the strongest predictors of good outcomes, which is why Holina offers 30-, 60- and 90-day programmes.

Private Insurance

Can I Claim Back From My Insurer?

Holina does not bill insurance companies directly. However, some clients with comprehensive international private health insurance have successfully sought reimbursement from their insurer after paying for treatment themselves.

Whether your policy covers overseas residential addiction treatment depends entirely on your individual policy and provider. We recommend contacting your insurer directly before admission to understand your coverage and what documentation they require.

If you intend to submit a claim, Holina can provide itemised clinical documentation to support your submission. This is provided at the end of your programme upon request.

Documentation Holina Can Provide

Itemised Invoice

A full breakdown of all services provided during your programme, formatted for insurance submission where required.

Clinical Summary

A clinical summary prepared by the treatment team describing the nature of treatment received, prepared upon request at the end of your stay.

Diagnosis and Treatment Report

A formal treatment report from our clinical director, outlining the clinical presentation, treatment approach, and discharge recommendations.

Proof of Attendance

Confirmation of dates attended and programme completed, on Holina Rehab letterhead, signed by clinical staff.

Note: Holina cannot guarantee any insurance reimbursement outcome. Decisions rest entirely with your insurance provider. We advise confirming coverage before admission.

Payment

How Do I Pay for Treatment at Holina?

Holina accepts four payment methods: international bank transfer, credit or debit card, staged payments arranged with our admissions team, and — for Australian clients — release of superannuation funds. Choose whichever suits you; our team will confirm the details when you reserve your place.

  • Bank Transfer

International wire transfer in USD accepted. Full payment details provided upon confirmation of admission.

  • Credit and Debit Card

Major credit and debit cards accepted. Please contact admissions to confirm card payment arrangements.

  • Staged Payments

In certain circumstances, a staged payment arrangement may be available for longer programmes. Discuss with our admissions team at enquiry stage.

  • Super (Australian Clients)

Australian clients may be eligible to access superannuation funds early on compassionate grounds to cover addiction treatment costs. We can provide documentation to support your application.

Financing FAQs

Financing FAQs

Does Holina bill my insurance company directly?
No. Holina Rehab operates on a private-pay basis, so you pay the clinic directly and there is no insurance billing or third-party approval process. This is why treatment can begin the moment you arrive. If you have private cover, you can still contact our admissions team for the documentation needed to claim reimbursement afterwards.
What payment methods does Holina accept?
We accept international bank transfer, credit or debit card, staged payments arranged in advance, and — for Australian clients — release of superannuation funds. Our team confirms the details when you reserve your place.
Can Australian clients use their superannuation to pay for treatment?
Yes. Australian clients can fund treatment through early release of superannuation. Our admissions team can talk you through what Holina provides to support that process.
What documentation does Holina provide for an insurance reimbursement claim?
Holina can provide an itemised invoice, a clinical summary, a diagnosis and treatment report, and proof of attendance. These documents are designed to support a reimbursement claim to your own insurer after your stay.
Are payment plans or staged payments available?
Yes. Staged payments can be arranged with our admissions team as one of our standard payment options, alongside bank transfer and card payment.
Is a deposit required to reserve a place?
Booking and deposit arrangements are confirmed directly with our admissions team when you reserve your place. Call Enquiries on +66 (0) 82 113 0657 (or our Thai-language line on +66 (0) 61 936 8047) to arrange this.
