Holina Rehab has reached an agreement with Health Tours Thailand, a Bangkok-based medical-tourism facilitator founded and managed by Derek Halpern. For people travelling to Thailand for addiction and trauma recovery, the arrangement is simple in purpose: it takes the travel and logistics off a person’s plate so they can focus entirely on getting well. Holina now sits within the Health Tours Thailand network of vetted Thai healthcare providers.

About Holina
Holina is an international network of trauma- and addiction-recovery centres, with two centres in Thailand. Holina Rehab for Addiction & Trauma Recovery sits on the sunset-facing coast of Koh Phangan, built around individual care with several one-to-one sessions each week alongside group and community work. Holina Healing Centre, on the river beside Khao Yai National Park, focuses on pain and trauma recovery alongside our holistic and psychotherapeutic programme.
Holina Village in Cyprus serves 16-to-25-year-olds with emotional and behavioural challenges, including addiction, within a therapeutic community on a working farm. Holina Israel is a Hebrew-speaking addiction and trauma residential rehab for adults.
Our approach draws on the 12-Step tradition and lived experience in recovery, combined with evidence-based psychotherapy and holistic practices, delivered in secluded, resort-style surroundings. Where addiction is driven by underlying trauma, our Dual Treatment programme addresses both together rather than in isolation. Holina Rehab is a licensed residential facility under the Thai Ministry of Health (Residential Rehab Licence #84-03-00294) in Koh Phangan.
Whole-person treatment
Programmes span the full continuum of care, from medical detox and primary residential treatment to youth recovery, sober-living and lifelong aftercare. Clinical work is supported by somatic and trauma-resolution therapies, breathwork, yoga, meditation, art therapy and regular one-to-one counselling, so each plan is built around the individual. Accommodation at Holina Rehab is sea-view throughout, ranging from private pool villas and deluxe bungalows to spacious shared suites, alongside oceanfront swimming pools, a private beach, gym, sauna and ice bath, all set amid tropical gardens designed to foster calm and connection. What Health Tours Thailand adds
Health Tours Thailand guides clients through the practical side of their journey: travel and accommodation, visa questions, airport fast-track and transfers, translation and around-the-clock in-country support. For someone arriving for treatment, that means the logistics are handled and the focus can stay on recovery. Health Tours Thailand is a facilitator that connects clients with providers; it does not deliver clinical care itself.

Individualised care is a hallmark of the Holina approach, and this arrangement extends that same attention to the period before arrival and after departure. Practical support around travel and stay removes friction at exactly the moments a person needs to be focused on getting well. Where a client wishes to arrange additional health services in Thailand, Health Tours Thailand can coordinate them separately; at Holina, the work itself remains recovery from addiction and trauma.
